Neuromodulator injections

A neuromodulator is a substance that can be injected into the upper face to relax the muscles and reduce expression lines.

There are different types of neuromodulators (such as Botox®), each with its own characteristics and advantages. The choice of neuromodulator to use will be discussed after evaluation with our injection experts. We will be happy to advise you on your options during your appointment.

Neuromodulators and fillers are both injectable products used on the face. However, they do not have the same composition or function:

• Neuromodulators are muscle relaxants that relax the muscles responsible for expression lines. They are therefore generally used on the upper part of the face. The best known is botulinum toxin, marketed under the name Botox®.
  

• Fillers, on the other hand, compensate for the decrease in natural hyaluronic acid production in our bodies. Injecting fillers adds volume and lifts the targeted area. They are therefore mainly used on the lower part of the face.

Neuromodulator injections are suitable for both women and men of all ages. In fact, neuromodulator injections have a beneficial preventive effect.

The desired effect varies depending on age: younger people tend to want to enhance their facial appearance or correct certain flaws, while those showing more signs of aging want to prevent the appearance of wrinkles or treat existing ones.

Anyone can benefit from this treatment as long as there are no medical contraindications.

Please note that parental consent is required for individuals under the age of 18.

The duration of the effects varies depending on several factors, but generally, the results are visible for 3 to 4 months.

We recommend scheduling appointments every 4 months, or three treatments per year, to maintain the same results.

The expected results are not immediate and vary from person to person.

The effects may begin to be visible 4-5 days after the injection, but this can take up to 2-3 weeks, depending on the individual.

This treatment does not require any recovery time.

Once the treatment is complete, you can resume your normal activities.

However, please note that slight redness, small bruises, or even swelling may occur at the injection sites 24 to 48 hours after treatment. It is also not recommended to engage in intense physical activity during this time.
